Mithology
I’ve always been drawn to the stories of Poseidon. Not just as the god of the sea, but as a figure full of power and unpredictability. When the gods split the world, he took the ocean—and with it, everything wild and deep and untamed. His trident wasn’t just a symbol. It could stir storms, shake the earth, and remind everyone that nature doesn’t ask for permission. He shows up all over myth—challenging Athena, shaping wars, fathering heroes. But it’s the duality I keep coming back to. The calm and the chaos. The beauty and the threat. There’s something in that balance that feels honest. Like the sea itself.
In the photos, you can see one of the references I worked from—a statue of Poseidon in Rome that really captured the feeling I wanted. There’s also a healed shot, sent by my client a year later. Seeing how it settled into the skin, how it held up over time—that's one of the most rewarding parts of the process.
